Went here 2 out of four nights in Udine. Great service, friendly and efficient. On both occasions we shared one dish to start then had a secondi each with a contorni. The arabiatta was spicy, just how we like it. The mixed fried fish was crisp and tender. Sausages and vongole were also good. The house wine was good. Cards accepted

The food here is amazing!! Although the service was a little slow at first, the food makes it worth it. The mussels at the start were out of this world. Also the kindness of the waitress, my shoe was broken and she fixed it with tape. Really sweet of her!

Great authentic Italian restaurant. Food was incredible and while the waitress only spoke Italian, she was incredibly friendly and communication went fine. Would definitely recommend this Osteria if you find yourself in Udine.

You can try here a good quality, especially typical sea food (calmari, spaghetti alle vongole, bacala). The staff is friendly. A good relation quality/price. It is frequented only by a local people. I highly recommend this osteria.

Giuro che ci ho provato. Ho girato molti ristoranti del friuli in cerca di un piatto di spaghetti più buoni di questo. Anche in ristoranti rinomati e specializzati in pesce. Purtroppo non ci sono riuscito. Questi sono gli spaghetti alle vongole più buoni del friuli Venezia Giulia.! Complimenti.! Molto, ma molto buona anche la pepata di cozze o il baccalà. Antica osteria di udine.

Wir hatten Spaghetti vongole, Impepata di cozze und Torta alla nonna, alles superlecker. Zum Service: die Bedienung hat italienisch gesprochen, aber es ist halt nun mal in Italien, wo die Menschen italienisch sprechen; und wer in der Lage ist, Rezensionen zu schreiben, der kann sich auf derselben Seite über die Speisekarte informieren. ;) Wir werden auf jeden Fall mal wieder dort essen.

Quando vien voglia.... di un piatto di spaghetti con le vongole....o pepata di cozze.... Impeccabili... E i migliori della zona.... Accompagnati da un ottimo vino bianco frizzantino.....si va da Lucia....!!!! D'estate ci sono alcuni tavoli all'esterno....posto c'è sempre ma meglio prenotare....

Un menu fatto di pochi piatti, ma nessun buongustaio se ne potrà lamentare, perché la scelta "ridotta" è abbondantemente compensata dalla qualità. Il locale è simpatico, l'accoglienza cordiale e alla mano, il cibo semplice, ma altrettanto semplicemente... Delizioso. Troverete una vera cucina casalinga, preparata con passione e ingredienti freschi e di qualità. Dopo aver fiutato per anni i profumini di pesce fritto che uscivano dal locale, abbiamo finalmente deciso di provare a entrare, ed è stata una rivelazione... Pepata di cozze abbondantissima, con cozze pulite alla perfezione, e condite a regola d'arte. Dopo aver letto le altre recensioni, era una scelta obbligata l'assaggio della pasta alle vongole, e la fama è assolutamente meritata: un piatto generoso nella quantità e nel sapore, con magnifiche vongole veraci, rigorosamente in bianco, buono come il miglior piatto cucinato da una mamma. Il tutto annaffiato da un onesto vinello della casa e suggellato da un originale dolcetto -la torta polenta- che ha chiuso alla perfezione una cena perfetta.
Se amate i locali pretenziosi, state alla larga; se vi piace il cibo buono, anzi buonissimo, da gustare in un ambiente casalingo, fatevi avanti.

After years of sniffing the aromas of fried fish wafting from the restaurant, we finally decided to try it, and it was a revelation... The Pepata di Cozze (Peppered Mussels) was generous, with perfectly cleaned and expertly seasoned mussels. After reading the other reviews, I was forced to try the pasta with clams, and it's absolutely deserved: a generous dish in quantity and flavor, with magnificent clams, strictly in white sauce, as good as a mother's best meal. It was all washed down with a fine house wine and topped off with an original dessert—polenta cake—that perfectly rounded off a perfect dinner. If you like pretentious places, stay away; if you enjoy good—in fact, delicious—food enjoyed in a homey setting, go ahead.
